Canine Prosthetics

I've been spending a lot of time getting ready for the new puppy, some of which has been internet searches. I ran across this during my surfing.

How can something be so sad and yet so uplifting at the same time? Dogs and the people who love them. It's a beautiful thing. Spirit, it can't be measured but you know it when you see it. You can read the whole story about Naki'o and his owner, Christie Tomlinson here.

I thought we might be looking at something like that. Our dog had surgery to remove a tumor on her leg, and in the days afterward the leg was very ugly and swollen; I was afraid it was infected and have to come off.

She's turned the corner though, and is starting to put weight on it. You can see the injured leg, the back right, in this photo.

I'm glad she's doing better Doohickie. Losing Trooper nearly killed me.
